About me
My Story: Why I Practice Spine Surgery
Spine surgery is often considered highly risky, but over the years, it has become my area of comfort.
The neck houses critical structures such as the blood vessels supplying the brain, the spinal cord, and the esophagus, which can intensify the fear surrounding surgery in this area.
However, spine surgery is extremely effective in resolving nerve compressions, providing significant clinical satisfaction for patients.
I have always believed that this surgery was deemed risky simply because it is less common than other types of surgery.
This is why I dedicated my time and energy to mastering surgical techniques and materials that ensure safety.
The joy of practicing these techniques has translated into highly satisfying outcomes for my patients.
Minimally Invasive
This allows for a very quick recovery and an immediate return to daily activities
Highly Effective
When other non-surgical techniques do not yield the desired results, decompression of the neurological structures is likely to improve the quality of life.
With You from Start to Finish
Trust in Expert Hands
Experience, caution, and the use of advanced technology can make a difference.
A few decades ago, minimally invasive spine surgery might have seemed utopian, and surgical treatment was reserved for the most severe and urgent cases.
But technological advancements in surgery have provided a level of safety and the ability to achieve excellent results.
Minimally Invasive
Minimally invasive surgery aims to perform interventions that maintain the same quality and safety as traditional approaches while reducing surgical trauma, pain, and potential complications. Special attention is given to faster functional recovery and improved aesthetic outcomes.
Una particolare attenzione è rivolta al recupero funzionale più rapido e a un miglior risultato estetico.
Risk Reduction
The minimally invasive approach has demonstrated the ability to reduce the incidence of certain complications, promoting a quicker return to normal functional activities. The consistent practice of these techniques allows for excellent results
La costante pratica di queste tecniche permette di ottenere ottimi risultati.
Immediate Mobilization
Minimally invasive surgery allows for immediate postoperative mobilization.
All patients undergoing this type of surgery can be mobilized immediately after the procedure, without any bed confinement.
Immediate Resumption of Daily Activities
One of the most appreciated advantages by patients is the immediate resumption of moderate physical activity and non-strenuous work
How My Passion Began
As a young medical student, I embarked on a journey to explore the fascinating world of neurosurgery.
I encountered the dogma that spine surgery was extremely dangerous.
For me, spine surgery has always been thrilling and engaging due to the nearly non-traumatic access, the speed of the procedures, and the effectiveness in alleviating pain.
Years of dedication to endoscopic surgery made me realize that surgical invasiveness could be further reduced.
What further developments do I foresee? Undoubtedly, percutaneous techniques and disc regeneration will make invasive surgery increasingly unnecessary.

Spine Surgery is suitable for many people.
Is Spine Surgery Dangerous?
There's no doubt that surgery, like almost all activities in life, involves taking a risk.
We don't always think about it, but every time we get in a car, every time we cross the street, even every time we take a shower, we accept the risk that something might go wrong.
Surgery is undeniably a risky activity, but no one more than a surgeon can help people understand these risks in depth and assess whether they are worth taking to improve their quality of life. comprendere approfonditamente quali siano i rischi e a valutare l’opportunità di correrli per migliorare la qualità di vita.
Does the Neck Become Stiff After Surgery?
The fear of not being able to freely rotate the head, flex-extend the spine, or move well is common.
Except for some surgeries (often performed for fractures) involving the first and second cervical vertebrae, spinal surgeries do not significantly limit any of these functions. For most surgeries, on the contrary, cervical mobility improves in the absence of pain and muscle contractures..
Per la maggior parte degli interventi, al contrario, la mobilità cervicale in assenza di dolore e contratture della muscolatura migliora.
Is It Really a Last Resort?
Surgery is a tool, not a solution.
Sometimes it cannot even be used as a last resort in situations where it cannot offer benefits. Other times, it can be used earlier, before resorting to other options.
Surgery can achieve good results in improving the quality of life. ottenere dei buoni risultati sul miglioramento della qualità di vita.
Only understanding the clinical situation, viewing radiological images, and especially evaluating movement needs, work, sports, and recovery speed can tell us whether it is worth using the “tool” of surgery.
I Believe in Concrete Success Stories and Happy Patients
My philosophy is simple but powerful.
I use the most effective and least invasive technique possible to address each situation. per risolvere ogni situazione.
I prefer simple solutions for complex problems and only operate on patients for whom surgery can make a real difference in their quality of life. reale differenza nella loro qualità di vita.
In my work as a neurosurgeon, I am guided by fundamental values: ethics, passion, and attention to detail.
My patients' health is always my top priority. I do not believe in “we’ll see,” “we’ll try,” or “we’ll look.” My constant pursuit of new approaches and methodologies has led to excellent results.
